Just sharing with you guys some of my essentials for the new year- but amongst all of "my material things" is my favorite purchase of the year; a book about material. I think I may have the biggest girl crush on Stephanie Lacava. Her book, An Extraordinary Theory of Objects, was such an inspirational read. I feel all of us can relate to her in some ways. Her story is about coming of age in a foreign country and how she deals with feeling like an outcast by finding beauty in strange yet beautiful objects. Makes me want to take a second look at all of the beauty we sometimes miss in this fast paced world!
Anyway, just get the book....I promise you, it won't disappoint!

This book looks perfect for me I must check it out, thank you! I'm currently reading a book right now called A Life in Frocks. I don't know why, but I just had to mention it. I thought it was just primarily made to look pretty, something to flip through, but it turned out to be this lovely woman's personal story about memorable moments in her life and how her outfits enhanced them. So yes, I've been looking for something adorable and inspiring to read after that one, and again, thank you!
